Prof. Richard Linares wins the 2024 American Astronautical Society (AAS) Emerging Astrodynamicist Award

Prof. Richard Linares has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 American Astronautical Society (AAS) Emerging Astrodynamicist Award for his outstanding technical contributions to space situational awareness, satellite drag, and orbital capacity. This prestigious award, presented annually by the AAS Space-Flight Mechanics Technical Committee, recognizes outstanding junior researchers making significant contributions to astrodynamics.

The Emerging Astrodynamicist Award is based on the impact of the technical contributions of the candidate, with their service contributions also considered. Awardees will be recognized during a Summer Astrodynamics Meeting and will receive a commemorative plaque.
