MIT Aerospace Physiology Lab

MIT Aerospace Physiology Lab

The Aerospace Physiology Lab is a clinical physiology lab in the Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute Technology. APL is interested in how the brain, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal systems respond to stressful physical conditions

Our Members

Our team combines expertise in physiology, aerospace engineering, data science, human performance, and flight operations to study how humans respond to aviation and spaceflight.

Our research

Our research spans spaceflight and aviation, using lower body negative pressure to study cardiovascular stress in space and developing physiology-informed tools for medical evacuation.
