The 2019 Women in Aerospace Symposium will be hosted on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus by the MIT Aeronautics and Astronautics Department, Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29. MIT AeroAstro, the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University, and The Ann and H. J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder are pleased to partner in this event, which offers female doctoral candidates and recent Ph.D. recipients working in the aerospace field an opportunity to showcase their work to, and network with, their colleagues, university faculty, industry and government partners.

MIT’s Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics, along with Women in Aerospace Symposium co-sponsors Stanford University and University of Colorado Boulder, extend our thanks to The Aerospace Corporation for its generous support for the 2019 Symposium.

The Symposium will provide participants a unique opportunity to come away with valuable tools to assist in their pursuit of a career. They will:

  • present their research to their peers and faculty members for feedback
  • learn about careers and pathways for success in academia, research laboratories, industry and government
  • discuss emerging trends in aerospace engineering
  • receive advice on honing job search skills and strengthening professional networks
  • examine best practices in maintaining a healthy work-life balance

The deadline for applications has passed. Selections will be announced by May 1.
