Robert Seamans and Neil Armstrong on the Apollo Program

Robert Seamans Jr. was associate and deputy NASA administrator from 1960-68 where he was instrumental in development of manned spaceflight. He would later serve as MIT Dean of Engineering, Director of the Draper Lab, and a senior lecturer in MIT AeroAstro. He passed away in 2008. In this video, Dr. Seamans and astronaut Neil Armstrong deliver the 1994 AeroAstro Gardner Lecture and speak about their experiences in the race to the moon.
